While you are at the Gorge explore our cave, take a hike along one of our trails, or pan for gold. You may wander off into the vast wilderness area that surrounds us. Discover the trails and backcountry roads ideal for ATV and Motorcycles. At the end of the day, take a short walk and enjoy a soak in the natural hot spring. Plan your next gathering, family reunions, or group events and enjoy the spectacular views. We would love to help you create memories that will last a lifetime. Hosting weddings, a perfect location by the river, it's surreal and very beautiful.
Beyond the fishing and hunting, there are also nearby mining towns long forgotten. Explore these ghost towns like Bay Horse from the 1880s. Learn about the tale of two cities: Custer and Bonanza circa 1876. Finding your way through the backcountry roads and trails on a motorcycle or ATV is sure to be enthralling for any age. When you gather for events or just travel with your tight-knit family, our cabins and RV park are a great choice.

Fishing the Gorge

Grab your pole! Enjoy fishing the speculator Salmon River for ocean run Steelhead in the spring March and April and the fall run late October and November, Chinook salmon season in the summertime with warmer days and cooler nights. Fishing in the main Salmon River is a year-round sport. Some of the very best fly-fishing and fishing holes on the river are right here at the Resort. Launch or take out your drift boat or raft at our private ramp with plenty of parking for your boat and vehicle. We do offer a shuttle service. Licenses are available through the Internet or locally and are reasonably priced even for non-residents.

Big Game Hunting

Legendary hunters like Theodore Roosevelt and others have been coming to Idaho in search of big game for decades, and there is no better place to be than at our resort in Salmon. Fall in central Idaho is painted with brilliant colors, and people passionate about hunting flock to the state to enjoy the mountains. Bighorn sheep, antelope, deer, and bear all surround us, so your next visit could be the hunt of a lifetime. Hunt waterfowl on your own or bring a group with you and hire an experienced sportsman as your guide.
